Comment: If you like coffee then you need one of these. Maybe not this one cause I found the grip to be bulky but it did keep me from burning my hands on it. A french press,bottled water and free ground coffee to make coffee = A whole new appreciation for coffee.. The paper filters usually used in coffee makers absorb the natural oils in the coffee grounds that give coffees their distinct taste.

Comment: I got one directly from the manufacturer the last time, but w/shipping & handling, it's cheaper to purchase from Amazon. We had to replace the last one after DH kept putting it in the microwave. We love the personal French press, which produces great tasting coffee--make sure you use coarse grind coffee.

Summary: Where to find coarse coffee
Comment: Great device, all the comfort of a Starbucks cup and SO much cheaper (at least after the first couple of cups). You do need to use coarse coffee which you can get basically any place that sells whole beans and has a grinder (such as coffee shops and most grocery stores). Simply make sure the setting is on coarse. Also, to elaborate on an earlier review - the instructions are clear on this not being a microwaveable vehicle, so Bodum appears to know about the bubble.

Summary: Excellent Press for the Price
Comment: I have been using this press 3-4 times a week for the past 2 months. I have had no problems with it in this time. At first glance it looked a little on the cheap side (let's admit, it is cheap). I wasn't too sure about the rubber around the screen. I thought I would have problems with coffee grounds getting by and making those last couple sips pretty terrible. However, I have found that it's only that last sip that has some grounds in it. I love that I can make my press coffee right in the cup before I grab it on my way to work. I have found that this will keep the coffee hot for about 90 minutes, cold in about 2 hours. I've been happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others.
