Comment: I wish I'd done this a long time ago. Close your ashtray and get rid of that cord dangling down in front of your controls. Free's up your lighter outlet for an emergency charge on your cel phone too. just an hour's worth of labor to install it at any car audio shop.

Comment: this is probally one of the best products I have purchased. the same day I received it I had to test it. and its funny we try to stay away from the boys..I was tryin to get there attention. all the hype is real
this is a 10 star product...I drive a 3.6 06 passat and that stock 280hp is pretty provoking for the lead foot.so those with that low blood pressure and need speeed..doctors orders .lol a very proud invest this will be.

Comment: The direct power cord has allowed me to keep an open socket on me cigarette adapter. When done, just push cord back into defroster dash area and you hardly notice the tip!

Comment: In the picture, it shows that this item has status lights and a mute button built-in. When I recieved the product it is nothing more than a wire that goes to the fuse-box. Not a huge deal for me, but if you are looking for the fully functional "official" Escort 8500 Power cord with all the options, look elsewhere.
