Summary: Not so natural anymore! OWNED BY CLOROX NOW!
Comment: I love Burt's Bees lip balm, and diaper cream, and lots of their other products, and Burt's Bees used to be a good choice for people trying to make greener choices for themselves and the environment. Not so anymore. Burt's Bees has been bought by CLOROX. Yes, that's right, CLOROX. As usual a decent green company has been sucked up by a major polluter. You can read about it in the New York Times Business section by using your search engine with the terms "Burt's Bees", "Clorox", and "New York Times". Clorox says it wants to learn to be more green. Yeah, sure! They just want a piece of the pie when it comes to taking the money of green conscious consumers. You can bet that they won't be putting the word "Clorox" on the Burt's Bees label! I for one am tired of trying to buy green and ending up padding the wallets of great big polluting corporations. If you want to buy personal products that are better for you and the environment, try using your search engine to search for "Compact for Safe Cosmetics". You will find lists of companies that are the real thing, and not corporate wolves hiding behind a natural label. BYE BYE BURT, WE LOVED YOU!

Comment: I think this particular Burt's Bees kit was the way I first got introduced to the absolutely essential Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme and the Lemon Cuticle Creme. I still have the cute little pair of gloves with the bees on them, so that's my clue.
Anyway, the Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme and the Lemon Cuticle Creme are equally essential and equally effective, meaning that a little bit goes a long way so you can make the product last and therefore have more value for your money. The Shea Butter is a heavy moisturizer that slathers on and takes awhile to absorb into your skin so you'll need to put on those gloves. It has a mild-to-neutral scent and a rich feel.
The Lemon Cuticle Creme has a delicious lemon scent and feels like beeswax. Massage it into your cuticles first, then do the Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme, and then pull on your gloves for about 30 minutes of reading before bed to let your skin absorb the treatment (and absorb the actual product so that you can touch things again with your bare hands).
The Banana Creme is a bit redundant, I think, because you'll probably want to use the superior Hand Repair Creme every time. Also, to me, it has the scent and sticky feel of banana pudding, and I didn't much care for that. But if you're giving this kit as a gift, it should add to the variety and novelty effect for the lucky recipient!

Comment: Before I purchased the hand repair kit, I had heard people raving about Burt's Bees, but I hadn't really tried it myself. My hands always chap during the winter, so I figured I'd give it a try, and now I'm in love. The cuticle cream is wonderful, and the hand repair cream is really effective. The gloves don't fit very well, but the actual products are great and I highly recommend them to anyone with dry hands or nails.

Comment: This product is quality, like all Burt's Bees products, but the gloves leave something to be desired. You constantly have to wash them almost after every use. So if you are purchasing this product for the gloves, I would move on. Otherwise the lotions and creams are great. A little too nature smelling for my choice.
